Professional Background
Mr. Fernandez is a Registered Architect and a member of the AIA, and an active CEO and President of Joseph Fernandez, Architect, P.C. located in Eastchester, New York. He has been involved in the construction and architectural industry for over thirty years.
He has utilized his PMP skill set to design, plan, manage and construct hundreds of successful projects. He began his career designing projects at JFK Airport for various airline carriers. He continued working with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey on various facilities which required attention. He was involved as a lead designer on the reconstruction of Wollman Rink, Central Park New York City.
As a builder and construction manager he managed the construction of a 22K SF office building in Great Neck, New York, managed the build out of a 9K SF interior renovation for Chubb Institute in Journal Square, New Jersey, constructed (14) fourteen townhouses on Staten Island, New York and managed a 55K SF interior renovation for May Company headquarters in New York. He managed the construction of many office interiors, lobbies, strip malls and large residential home projects throughout the tri state area.
As a construction area manager working for Verizon he led a cross functional team and managed the construction of hundreds of interior fit outs along with personnel relocation's, creation of new call centers and hangar facilities (offices and hangar areas for corporate airline fleet).
He has utilized his diverse background and is currently developing architectural projects, school construction inspections reviews (BOCES), forensic work to provide solutions to leaking buildings (Daycare, plazas, exterior facades) religious housing, gas station retail stores along with residential projects (new homes, renovations and additions)
